Deleting Versions of an SAP Workflow
When configuring SAP workflows, a functional consultant may take advantage of the option to create a new version of the workflow. This provides a safety net for reverting to an earlier version if needed. Once the configuration is complete, it might be necessary to delete outdated workflow versions. If you're encountering this task for the first time, you may be asking yourself, "Where do I start?" The process is simple.
Let’s assume the workflow currently looks like this (see illustration below):
To remove unnecessary versions of the workflow, open transaction PFWS
, enter the workflow ID, and click the Edit
button:
Next, go to the menu: Process → Delete Versions
In the window that opens, select the version you wish to delete and click the Green tick button:
Repeat the same steps to delete any other outdated versions.
P.S. You can also delete workflow versions via transaction PFTC
by selecting task type WS
and entering the workflow ID as the task.
