How to display infotype numbers on the screen?

If you often work with infotypes in Personnel Administration and Organizational Management, you may occasionally find yourself wondering, “What is the number of this infotype?” when looking at a screen like the one below.

It’s time to start training your memory and memorizing infotype numbers! The key to achieving this is presented in the user hack described below.

To display infotype numbers on the screens of transactions PA20/PA30/PP01/PP02, you need to activate the parameter HR_DISP_INFTY_NUM in the user master record.

After activation, the numbers will be added to the textual description in the screen header—for both Organizational Management infotypes

and Personnel Administration infotypes.
