How to Find an IDoc by a Field Value in a Segment?

Let’s assume you regularly generate a large number of IDocs, which are then transferred to external systems via SAP PI—or without it. As often happens, sooner or later, a situation will arise where you urgently need to locate an IDoc sent to an external system, for example, to “analyze the incident.” Suppose you have this volume of IDocs:

You need to select only those that contain a specific value in a certain segment field.

Transaction WE09 will come to the rescue. It allows you to apply the necessary filters to select only the IDocs of interest. Fill in the appropriate fields on the selection screen:
