To this day, there are still consultants on projects who attempt to maintain Infotype 1222 "General Attribute Maintenance" using transaction PP01. Not only do they use it themselves, but they also suggest users do the same. A silent reproach to such consultants.
SAP itself recommends maintaining Infotype 1222 using transaction PPOMA, as stated in the corresponding note 1583955 - Using IT1222 in PP01:
Use the transaction PPOMA instead of PP01 for maintaining IT1222. Only within transaction PPOMA the checks and processing are carried out in the expected way.
